Job Description

  • Should be able to lead from the front. Ownership & hands-on delivery of applications built with a varied set of tools/technologies.
  • Demonstrate technical proficiency, and possesses analytical and communication skills
  • Partner with business, development and production support to ensure effective delivery of technology solutions and services
  • Cultivate and maintain ongoing relationship and dialog with Product and Ops partners, Strategic PMO on vision, strategy and roadmaps.
  • Hands-on experience with working with Agile methodologies.
  • Direct accountability for Project s Progress and Tracking. Manage project effectively by defining milestones and schedules, Proactive identification of risk and mitigation planning.
Qualifications required:
  • A university degree. Engineering, numerical, or computer science degrees preferred.
  • 15+ years experience working on varied sized projects ideally in Java stack in any financial industry Domain
  • Analytical mindset, creativity and commercial focus to deliver optimal solutions to complex issues.
  • Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Advanced knowledge of architecture, design and business process concepts
  • Very strong hands-on test execution, analytical and problem solving skills, with proven decision making abilities.
  • Communication skills to be able to interact with senior business leaders and technology colleagues globally. The candidate should be able to understand business needs and influence business decisions with their knowledge of technology.
  • Leadership skills to improve the team working around you by providing technical and process guidance, motivate and influence both business and technical communities.
  • Ability to work in a DevOps collaborative model to ensure production stability, efficiency in maintaining production environment hygiene
  • Keen understanding of financial control and budget management
  • Conversant with Agile methodologies
Essential Technology Skills
  • Web based application architecture patterns
  • Broad experience in service based and event-driven architecture and design including caching and parallelism
  • Core Java with Spring Boot, Spring MVC patterns with experience in ORM frameworks like Hibernate
  • Relational Databases and Object Stores design experience
  • Core development / DevOps engineering practices including CICD
  • Broad range of experience across Performance engineering practices and infrastructure architecture and design
  • Machine learning & Digital technologies
Broad Working experience or knowledge across following categories of technologies/tools:
  • Caching Technologies like Gemfire, MapDB, HazelCast
  • Continuous Integration model development and build tools : IntelliJ/Eclipse, Jenkins/Jules, Maven, BitBucket/Git/Gitflow,JMeter/Pasta/Blazemeter, SpringFramework, Hibernate, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud
  • Monitoring and Logging technologies like Geneos, Splunk, DynaTrace, JMX based
  • Web services based implementation REST and SOAP based
  • Unix /Linux, with messaging technologies like MQ/UM, JMS, XML.
  • Messaging frameworks preferably Kafka, AMPS, Websphere MQ
  • Integration Frameworks like Mule, Camel
  • Relational Databases hands on experience (Oracle, SQL, Hexadata )
  • UI Frameworks/languages eg REACT, Ember, Angular
  • Workflow and Rules engines like jBPM, Drools, Camunda
  • Automation Testing tools & methodologies - Selenium/Cucumber, TDD/BDD
  • BigData technologies (Cloudera/HortonWorks based Hadoop, HIVE, Spark, Python languages); Indexing frameworks like Elastic Search
  • Transformation tools/ETLs like Volante, Pentaho, Informatica.
  • Job scheduling tools like Autosys
