Here, we are continuously innovating and building highly scalable backend systems and strategies that give a seamless experience to our customers even during large volumes of traffic hitting our systems.Designation: Principal Engineer - FrontendLocation: Mumbai / BengaluruWe are looking for a talented and dedicated Principal Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for leading the product development and platform teams that build core product features such as alerting flow, notifications management, user management and pricing & subscription management. You will apply your inquisitive approach in a collaborative manner no matter the task, solving complex problems whether they touch the customer or simply compliment the work of your team.You will also be required to deeply understand technology landscapes and evaluate the use of new technologies. You will be influential within your team and work with peers and senior leaders to define and revise the standards for operational excellence across Atlassian. You will consistently tackle abstract issues that span multiple functional areas and drive your team to push for improvements that can scale across other teams, services, and platforms.Responsibilities:Drive the end-to-end design & development of major product features through technical expertise coupled with intra & inter-team collaboration.Lead & mentor a team of engineers through guidance & knowledge sharing.Keep an eye out on the evolving technology landscape & work with the global team to introduce frontend development best practices.Work closely with Engineering leaders to ensure smooth project delivery & continuous growth of the team.Requirements:10+ years of experience designing and building a production-level large scale web application.Proven experience building responsive & intuitive front-end web applications usingJavaScript (ReactJS / Redux) React Native, HTML, CSS, JQuery, HTTPExperienced building single-page applications in JavaScript/TypeScriptArchitect, design and Build complex user interfaces from the ground up using the latest web technologies - from gathering requirements, design, build, deploy and ownership.Good understanding of module bundling tools like web pack.Has an ability to quickly learn and contribute in multiple code base.Overcomes roadblocks and requires minimal oversight.Takes initiatives to fix issues/tech debts before assigned to him/her.Able to deep dive into codebase and advise QA of possible regression impact.Communicates tech decisions through design docs and tech talks.Keeps track of industry trends and introduces right tech/tools for a given job.Excellent understanding of software engineering practices, Design Patterns, Data Structures, Algorithms.,
