Job Description

This role is for an Associate in CCIC, based in Mumbai. CCIC is creating a new offshore center, and as such, this is a newly created role. The role reports into the Head of CCIC Mumbai. Responsibilities:

  • Work with the head of CCIC Mumbai to support them in the initial build out of the team, helping with the efforts to hire high-caliber staff and establish the initial operating model
  • On an ongoing basis provide senior sign-off and validation of work of the more junior people in the team, and demonstrate readiness to grow into a team lead role over time
  • Build up subject matter expertize in and support a number of the following areas of CCIC work:
    • Infrastructure & Stress Ongoing quality assurance and explains/analysis of Gauss exposure results and transaction pricing accuracy; Peak/SRE exposure methodology and implementation; explain/analysis and UAT go-live testing for stress testing, contingent risk, and wrong way risk; CCAR stress controls and results validation
    • International Capital validation/explains of Pillar 1 IMM capital calculations (EEPE); managing the Gauss runs for Pillar 2 and stressed capital; support for SA-CCR internationally (ex US); general capital support for JPM PLC and JPM AG
    • Data Governance work closely with the local CCIC and Credit teams and the global CCIC data governance leads to assist in addressing data quality aspects relevant to counterparty risk; testing and review of new CCR feeds; DQ overrides
    • Project Management & Controls provide local support for project management of major initiatives, and oversight of Action Plans and other internal and external commitments
  • Communicate effectively to multiple levels of management and various stakeholders in Credit Risk, Gauss, Credit Risk Technology, QR and Operations on control gaps, projects, automation of existing processes, issue resolutions etc. and provide recommendations.
  • Close interaction and partnership with other areas of Credit Risk, both in primary locations and locally Credit Analysts/Officers, Collateral Risk/SIMM team, CRSM etc.
Essential skills, experience, and qualifications:- Significant relevant experience of risk management or related discipline in a top tier peer bank- Very strong quantitative and analytical skills, with at least degree level education- Some familiarity with derivative products, including ideally some understanding of risk aspects such as credit exposure or stress testing- Excellent partnership and team management skills- Strong organizational, control, project management, communication and negotiation skills- Very detailed oriented; at the same time, being able to think holistically, creatively and critically,
