Job Description

The data scientist in Analytic Center of Excellence will have opportunities to work on huge varieties of problems across sales and marketing, customer management, revenue optimization, risk prevention, operation efficiency, network monitoring, AML and many more other areas.

  • The data scientist s focus is to analyse the business problem and develop solution leveraging analytics techniques.
  • He/She must be very familiar with a wide range of machine learning, statistical modelling, data mining and deep learning techniques hence able to apply appropriate solution framework for different problems.
  • Excellent data engineering skills with open source big data stack
  • Familiar with deployment and optimization of open source big data analytic stack on distributed environment.
  • He/She can push the boundary of advanced analytic to the extend of implementing algorithms from research papers if necessary.
  • He/She is a master of data manipulation and skillful in wrangling different types of data, with plentiful of tricks to extract the information value through feature engineering
  • He/She is familiar with a wide range of open source analytic tools and proficient with programming languages to work effectively with a wide range of problems.
  • He/She a needs to be familiar with Exploratory Data Analysis and Visualization
As analytic is a very creative form of science, we will only provide for illustration purpose a highly simplified sample of tasks he may perform:
  • Work with translators/business to define the problem and solution
  • Design the experiment and measurement to test the solution
  • identify, process and wrangle the data and build a strong pipeline
  • Perform Exploratory Data Analysis and other visualization techniques as needed
  • Develop the solution with advanced analytic techniques
  • Validate and test the solution with historical data
  • Implement the solution to production
  • Test the solution with real live data
  • Create reusable assets and share learning with others
Requirements:
  • The candidate must have excellent thinking and advanced analytic skills and an idea to built end to end Data Science Solutions
  • Bachelor s /Masters Degree in computer science, statistics, decision science or other highly quantitative fields with at least 3 years of industry experience developing data science solutions.
  • Expert in machine learning and data mining with excellent data processing, wrangling and feature engineering skills. Familiar with industry paradigm and standard for model development, validation and testing.
  • Expert in at least one of the following areas or equivalent in depth: deep learning, NLP, graph analytics, anomality detection, advanced large-scale recommendation, large scale optimization (OR), large scale multivariate time series forecasting, statistical experiment design, statistical causality reasoning.
  • Have developed and implemented industry machine learning solution for classification, prediction, forecasting and anomality detection problems.
  • Highly proficient with programming in Python or R. Preferable if Spark is known.
  • Good communication and presentation skill.
