A business exhibiting the same unique combination of management skills, best practice methods and adventurous spirit that exists with Mace globally.The roleDesign CoordinatorYour responsibilities will include: Overseeing the assigned projects including timely production of design information. Liaising with the project design and internal project teams. Providing design briefing, reporting and monitoring. Managing the external design by both project design, interface contractors and others. Adhering to design production programming, monitoring and review. Managing the drawing and specification production based on scope of works. Working to agreed design programme and deadlines. Undertaking design rationalisation which include value engineering and installation efficiency. Performing a formal drawing check for main drawings prior to distribution. Seeking design approval from client prior to critical design staged - procurement of material and installation. Providing a clear and defined design drawings and information which include filing and sourcing of same - server file and issue sheet. Registering and uploading of current design information. Tracking of drawing revisions and notification. Managing the technical design. Attending weekly design team meetings and other meetings where required. Performing other duties as assigned. The requirementsYour experience, knowledge and skills need to include: Proven experience as a design coordinator. With detailed experience of the application of design management throughout all phases of design construction. Significant experience in a construction or consultancy industry. International and local Indian project delivery experience is essential. General understanding of the relationship between drawings and specifications. Strong IT skills i.e. MS Office, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative and other design software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in English and Indian languages are required. Qualifications A degree qualification in architecture, fine arts or other related subject is essential for client approval. Professional membership are an advantage but are not essential.
