Job Description

Position ObjectiveTo edit PETA India s publications, including printed materials, internet content, and video textTerm of EmploymentFull-timeReports toChief Executive OfficerPosition LocationDelhi/Mumbai/Any location in IndiaPrimary Responsibilities and DutiesIn consultation and verified compliance with the objectives, standards, and requirements communicated by PETA India:

  • Edit PETA India s internal written materials
  • Edit PETA India s printed materials
  • Edit news releases, correspondence, and other public communications of PETA India
  • Edit the written content of PETA India s websites
  • Edit text for PETA India s videos
  • Perform any other editorial functions assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in a course of study requiring extensive writing and editing in English (e.g. English, journalism, philosophy, history, law)
  • Minimum of five years of practical editing experience
  • Proven excellent knowledge of English grammar and usage
  • Excellent knowledge of Indian honorifics, legal terminology, and writing conventions
  • Demonstrated exemplary attention to detail
  • Proven ability to apply knowledge and experience in a deadline-intensive environment
  • Excellent research skills
  • Computer proficiency
  • Knowledge of animal rights issues
  • Commitment to a healthy vegan lifestyle
