Job Description

Lead DevOps EngineerJob Locations IN-MumbaiRequisition ID 2020-56858 Category Research & Development Whats the role

  • Contribute at a high-level to many aspects of our collaborative Agile Scrum development process.
    • Own and drive technical leadership and in-depth solutions to provide self-service capabilities to development teams
    • Product and feature design
    • Technical architectural design and review
  • Perform all necessary discovery and fact finding to fully understand and execute all assignments
  • Work with and support R&D teams to onboard & run their services on our infrastructure platform
  • Almost obsessive-compulsive attention to detail, and an appreciation for the relationship between system reliability & performance and company success
  • Enable and support continuous deployment of applications to our platform
  • Develop release approach using automated, containerized deployment techniques
  • Work with R&D teams to find the best system architecture for our services
  • Work with our business teams to ensure the economics of our platform are in balance
  • Develop automation scripts, daemons, and APIs to reduce operational overhead
  • Support internal & external customers and participate in the 24x7 on-call rotation
  • Mentor team members
Who are you
  • Degree in Computing Science or equivalent
  • 8+ years experience in relevant software or internet service industry with a service operations background supporting high availability 24x7x365 environments
  • Technical implementations for OnCloud or On-Prem in an automated fashion, using the best practices of reliability, scalability, security, monitoring & cost optimization
  • Good understanding of the Linux operating system
  • Good knowledge of multi-tiered application stacks (primarily Java based) with a mix of technologies; including Apache, Tomcat and JBoss
  • Experience with AWS with a focus on SysOps Administration or DevOps Engineering
  • Automated configuration management using Ansible, Puppet, Chef or similar
  • Experience in Continuous Integration as a principle, as well as CI tools such as GitLab, Jenkins or GoCD
  • Container Orchestration: Kubernetes, Mesosphere, Docker Swarm
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash shell, etc)
  • Experience configuring and using Open-Source monitoring and trending systems: Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, Nagios
