• Perform the Product Owner role as part of the Agile delivery team; responsible for maximizing the business value of the product and be accountable for successful delivery.
• Engage with Product governance team in re-engineering & digitising Product governance workflow, identifying & sourcing data from the golden source systems, defining data models to support self-service dashboards/Reporting.
• Creating and maintaining a prioritized Product Backlog.
• Eliciting requirements from front facing staff & stakeholders across various business segments, product lines and functions.
• Clearly communicating priorities, sprint goals and acceptance criteria to the scrum team
• Defining user stories to facilitate clear communication of requirements to the scrum team, including definition of done.
• Act as a key player in the different events of the development cycle: daily scrums, team demos and retrospectives, SIT, UAT and sign-off from business stakeholders.
• Review test cases and evidence to ensure enough test coverage
• Facilitate and drive our business / data analyst groups to brainstorm new ideas
• Conduct research to see whats new and trending in the digital / data space internally and externally
• Ensuring submission of progress reports, benefits reports, red packs and closure reports to governance forums
• Responsible for tracking benefits realization and adoption on an ongoing basis
• Provide input during the Agile ceremonies sprint planning, review, retrospective demos, refinement sessions
• Inspect the product progress at the end of every Sprint and accept or reject work done
• Contribute to continuous improvement with business feedback/vision (covered during the retrospective)
• Remain aware of the daily BAU activities to maintain a grasp on business/process evolution.
• Refining the vision/strategy and drive our digital / data journey

Our Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor s Degree in Business Administration, Computer or equivalent required; Master s Degree is a plus
• Minimum of 10 years of Banking industry work experience in large-scale projects/programs with significant change impact and multiple dependencies within and across organizational boundaries.
• Ability to simultaneously execute multiple roles individually, including SCRUM Product Owner, SCRUM Master, PM/Business Analyst, Data Analyst.
• Proven track record in delivering projects successfully from inception to delivery through Agile methodology - ideally as a Product Owner with Good planning and forward-thinking skills.
• Experience working with Product governance team in re-engineering & digitising Product governance workflow via tools like PEGA
• Experience in identifying & sourcing the data from the golden source systems to Datalike and performing transformations, data quality rules etc via tools like Dataiku.
• Experience is defining Semantic Data models to support self-service dashboards/Reporting via tools like MicroStrategy.
• Strong stakeholder management ability in handling wide-ranging requests from senior stakeholders.
• Capable and reliable in meeting tight schedules and deadlines as well as high attention to detail while maintaining clear customer expectations throughout the life cycle of a project/engagement.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good organizational and documentation skills are essential.
• Understanding of wholesale banking products and banks operational model.
• Basic Project Management: Knowledge of project management principles and the ability to apply the principles, tools and techniques to develop/plan, manage or execute projects or work plans to ensure successful completion (e.g., on time, within budget).
• Familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence and Trello.
• Understanding and appreciation of the technical / business considerations involved with digital initiatives within banks, including; infrastructure, security, integration etc
• Preferred
  • Prior experience in delivering Business process automation solutions using PEGA.
  • Strong data skillset, including SQL query building and/or BI analytics
  • Hands on experience with Data analytics and Visualization tools
  • Knowledge of Data Quality Management Framework within Banks/financial institution
