Position overview:Increased financial services regulation globally is impacting our clients in different ways. Amongst other things, our Regulatory Affairs department identifies and tracks these regulations and trends, so that MSCI can build better products and services to help our clients address their regulatory obligations.This role is primarily a research role with reporting responsibilities, as well as a supportive role to our team dealing with regulation related matters for them firm. We are looking for a strong candidate who is a self- starter and is eager to learn about our business, regulations and their potential impact on our business.Responsibilities:Responsible for the monitoring and review of publications and websites on a daily basis for key updates on regulatory topicsEnsuring screening of materials for particular key words, and interpret, prepare and distribute regular regulatory reports to the business identifying /summarizing the various updates, proposals, and consultationsAssessing current processes and developing efficiencies around monitoring and reportingConduct research on ad hoc regulatory topics and prepare briefings on specific topics for senior teamsWork as part of a team to interpret the impact of regulations on our firmAssist with adhering to regulatory requirements and reporting, and various administrative tasks supporting this areaDesired experience and qualifications:Research experience is a must with a minimum experience of 9- 14 yearsRegulatory experience and /or experience in the financial services industry is advantageousLegal- related experience is valuable Strong academic record a mustMust have strong drafting skills and analytical skills as well as strong organizational and time management skillsMust be able to work to deadlines Critical thinking ability and the ability to grasp new concepts and assimilate data quickly is requiredMust have excellent English written and verbal communication skillsMust pay very careful attention to detailMust be a self- starter - someone who will take initiative, learn new responsibilities, and work independentlyMust be a team playerMust be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word PowerPointDue to the great number of applications we receive for each of our open vacancies, we are unable to respond on an individual basis.,
