Job Description

Role purpose

  • Key member of the Group FP&A team with focus on assisting in financial management of Group s Central & Shared entities and the job holder will report to the Group Finance Manager
  • Assist in providing full service financial management of the Group s Central & Shared entities and oversight of the Mumbai based Shared Service Centre including day to day finance activities, statutory accounts preparation and annual and quarterly planning activities.
  • Assist in providing critical Finance support and guidance to the Group s PMO in the delivery of key cost initiatives across the business and other adhoc projects that require specialist finance support.
  • The role requires a high level of commercial awareness with ability to influence stakeholders, together with managing financial disciplines and process. The role requires a good level of commercial and operational experience, with an ability to influence, and co-ordinate activities across the Group
  • Business partnering is a key requirement for this role across functions and jurisdictions supporting the Group FP&A Team in meeting and exceeding its objectives.
Key accountabilities
  • A key member of the Travelex Group FP&A team, providing strategic insight, meaningful analysis and control of Central & Shared Entities and investment policies and processes.
  • Assist in running annual budget and quarterly forecasting process for central overhead spend and contribute to creating robust and insightful materials for review and debate.
  • Assist in running the Group s annual transfer pricing exercise ensuring transparency and accuracy around charges to drive agreement with Finance teams of the Travelex subsidiaries
  • Assist in increasing cash flow reporting and expertise in the Group FP&A team around Central and Shared Costs and particularly around the accounts payable flows contributing to the weekly Liquidity Review Board.
  • Significant commercial acumen and cost control with ability to influence and guide stakeholders
  • Assist in the running of the Group s Investment Committee and capital expenditure processes ensuring proposals are appropriately validated in advance towards enabling clear decision-making and to provide challenge and debate
  • Produce accurate, timely and relevant MI

  • Manage expenses in accordance with Company Expense Policy

Essential
  • Strong business partnering and influencing skills in relation to stakeholder management (internal and external) and across matrix reporting lines
  • Commercial experience gained in blue chip companies as well as an excellent professional background
Desirable
  • Relevant degree from a good university
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or Part Qualified in final stages on professional accountancy qualification
