Job Description

  • 1) To Ensure no application undergoes performance degradation / downtime on a/c.
  • Of Capacity bottlenecks Conduct timely reviews quarterly and yearly and ensure to keep applications utilization under threshold as well as all software and hardware components under premium support.
  • Review involves assessment of CPU, Memory, Storage and database utilization trends across the infrastructure stack of an application.
  • It involves liasoning with BTG/Business team to get the projections from volume growth and accordingly assess capacity upgrade requirement 2) Ensure all applications are on the latest technology & no support or performance related issues are faced on a/c of technology obsolescence Initiate software/hardware upgrades for applications which are getting obsolete on technology to avoid any support issues at the time of failure.
  • 3) FPN raised to avoid any downtime due to Capacity or technology Raise FPN in 30 days after finalizing upgrade requirement.
  • 4) MIS Reporting & Capacity Reviews Quarterly and yearly reviews of the application, and reporting program management to complete all tech obsolescence 5) Audit compliance Ensure all the process/task are followed as per the procedure & no audit failure occurs in any of the application 6) Customer service and Grievance redressal Ensure all the queries & requests from BTG/Business are Fulfilled 7) Financial Capex budget planning for financial year 8) Mentoring and supporting team Project management and program management.
Skills
  • 6+ years of experience in IT, managing deliveries. Must have had prior experience in handling/performing Capacity Planning and Obsolescence Management, Performance modeling, forecasting, and performance tuning for Distributed Systems.
  • Preference to experience/exposure in Financial Sector
  • Exposure to architectural concepts/design across diverse technology platforms.
  • Experienced with large-scale Infra deployments, installation and support.
  • Strong Unix, AIX, Windows Server, Storage, and Networking skills and demonstrated experience with configuration, maintenance, Database (Oracle, SQL).
  • Must have in-depth technical knowledge and experience with AIX, Linux, Solaris, Windows Server, and capacity Planning and Performance metrics.
  • Strong analytical and technical communication & presentation skills.
  • Strong experience on data analysis and systems modeling.
  • Strong quantitative skills with the ability to discern quality of information and patterns in data
  • Awareness about IT governance/best practices. Broad understanding of IT standards and methodologies. Relevant certifications such as ITIL/Prince2/PMP will be added advantage.
