Job Description

    As a Lead Consumer Researcher at Bajaj Finance Limited, your role is crucial in driving deep consumer and market research initiatives to shape customer-centric financial products for Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3, and rural markets. By conducting rigorous primary and secondary research, validating product concepts, and delivering actionable insights, you will guide product ideation, prioritization, and successful launches, leveraging technology and data effectively.Key Responsibilities:- Conduct end-to-end exploratory and evaluative research to understand customer behavior, unmet needs, and pain points across various customer segments and geographies.- Design and execute primary research methods such as in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, ethnographic studies, usability testing, and concept validation.- Perform quantitative research activities like surveys, concept testing, A/B testing, and hypothesis validation.- Synthesize research findings to provide clear, actionable insights for product ideation and roadmap decisions.- Develop and maintain customer personas, journey maps, jobs-to-be-done frameworks, and opportunity areas.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, Business, Risk, and Technology during design sprints and product development cycles.- Uphold a consumer-first mindset and emphasize rigorous testing before product launches.- Utilize research tools, analytics platforms, and digital technologies to enhance the speed, accuracy, and scalability of insights.Additional Accountabilities:- Conduct secondary research on industry trends, fintech innovations, regulatory developments, and competitive benchmarking.- Assist in identifying new product opportunities and business models.- Establish institutional research knowledge through documentation, repositories, and insight dashboards.- Identify risks, adoption barriers, and trust concerns to enable successful product launches.- Mentor junior researchers or cross-functional teams on research best practices.Qualifications Required:- Post Graduate degree in Management, Design, Human-Centred Design, Psychology, Sociology, Economics, or relevant fields.- 3-5 years of experience in product research, consumer insights, UX research, or design research.- Prior experience in Financial Services, NBFC, Banking, or Fintech sectors is preferred.- Strong exposure to multi-market and multi-geography research, including Tier 2, Tier 3, or rural markets.- Demonstrated ability to uncover latent customer needs and influence product decisions.- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and synthesis skills.- Proven bias for action, commitment to research excellence, high ownership, and curiosity.Join Bajaj Finance Limited as a Lead Consumer Researcher to drive impactful research initiatives and shape innovative financial products that cater to diverse customer needs and markets.
