Job Description

    Position Summary:The HR Generalist supports various human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, and HR policy implementation. This role ensures the efficient and effective day-to-day operations of HR, helping to foster a positive and productive work environment. The HR Generalist works closely with employees and management to address HR-related matters and ensure the organization complies with labor laws and regulations.Key Responsibilities: Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews. Conduct new employee orientations and manage the onboarding process to ensure a smooth integration. Support managers in identifying staffing needs and developing job descriptions. Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employees, addressing questions and concerns related to HR policies, procedures, and programs. Assist in resolving employee relations issues, conflicts, and grievances. Help promote a positive work environment and culture by fostering open communication. Performance Management: Support the performance evaluation process by helping managers with performance reviews and goal-setting. Assist in managing employee performance issues and developing action plans for improvement. Provide employees with guidance on career development and growth opportunities. Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company benefits. Assist employees with questions about their benefits and handle benefit enrollment and changes. Work with benefit providers to resolve issues and ensure accurate processing. Compliance and Policy Management: Ensure the organization complies with labor laws and employment regulations. Assist in developing, maintaining, and enforcing HR policies and procedures. Maintain accurate employee records and handle confidential information with discretion. Training and Development: Coordinate employee training sessions, workshops, and development programs. Identify training needs and recommend learning opportunities to improve employee skills. Assist in the implementation of training programs for new hires and current employees. HRIS and Reporting: Maintain and update employee data in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System). Generate HR reports, such as headcount, turnover, and other key metrics. Assist in data entry and maintaining accurate employee records for compliance and auditing purposes. Health and Safety: Assist in implementing health and safety programs to ensure a safe working environment. Support wellness initiatives and employee health programs. Help ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 2-4 years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role. Strong knowledge of HR principles and practices. Familiarity with employment laws and HR compliance requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize. Proficiency in HRIS software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.Preferred Skills: HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus. Knowledge of diversity and inclusion best practices.Working Conditions:This is a full-time position with occasional need for flexibility to handle HR-related tasks outside of regular business hours.
