Job Description

    Job Summary:The Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing the acquisition of goods and services for the organization. This role involves managing procurement processes, negotiating contracts, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring that the procurement activities align with the organizations strategic goals and budgetary constraints.Key Responsibilities: Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective purchasing while meeting the organizations quality and service standards. Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. Evaluate and select suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery capabilities. Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and address any issues that arise. Contract Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable terms for the. organization. Draft, review, and manage contracts to ensure compliance with legal and company standards. Procurement Process Management: Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, including requisitioning, purchase order issuance, and order fulfillment. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate supply while minimizing excess and obsolete stock. Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to optimize inventory management. Budget and Cost Control: Develop and manage the procurement budget. Monitor spending and identify opportunities for cost savings. Prepare and present regular procurement reports to senior management. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies. Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks. Team Management: Lead and develop the procurement team, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals. Conduct performance evaluations and implement professional development plans.Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Masters degree is a plus. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. Proven experience in contract negotiation and supplier management. Skills and Competencies: Strong negotiation and contract management skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
