Job Description

    Role Overview:You will be a part of the legal contracts team at Paytm, responsible for managing legal and contractual matters, identifying and mitigating legal risks, and assisting senior legal colleagues in special projects across various divisions.Key Responsibilities:- Draft, review, red-line, negotiate, and finalize legal documents such as Contracts, Letters, Proposals, RFPs, etc. to ensure minimal risk to the organization.- Resolve any contractual issues with clients, partners, service providers, and vendors.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for implementation of special projects across all business verticals.- Analyze business requirements, identify issues, and propose solutions.- Ensure adherence to internal frameworks, mandates, and processes.- Provide end-to-end legal management for assigned business transactions.- Advise on new proposed business models under applicable ecommerce and FEMA laws.- Identify risks in ongoing legal agreements and assist in changes for compliance with IT, ecommerce, and privacy laws.Qualifications Required:- 8 years of experience in end-to-end contract management, preferably in a law firm or in-house legal team within a loan service provider, tech, or e-commerce startup.- Strong legal acumen and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work independently and efficiently with attention to detail and good drafting skills.- Proficiency in MS Word/MS Office.- Experience in payments/banking/trading company is preferred.- LL.B graduate from a top-tier institute, such as National Law Schools, DU, ILS, or Symbiosis.
