Job Description

    As an SOX professional at EY, you will play a crucial role in executing SOX, IFC designing, walkthrough, and implementation, as well as conducting business process reviews and creating and mapping business flow charts with RCM. Your primary responsibilities include:- Performing risk assessment procedures, identifying significant accounts and classes of transactions, mapping business processes, and contributing to the development of a risk-based annual internal audit/SOX audit plan.- Preparing SOX documentation such as process flowcharts, process narratives, and risk and controls matrix.- Designing attributes, testing the design and operating effectiveness of controls, identifying gaps, and assisting in remediation.- Planning, implementing, coordinating, and executing all phases of SOX compliance, including leading walkthroughs, developing test procedures, executing and documenting testing, and reporting results to Management.- Ensuring clear, concise, actionable, and practical observations and recommendations for communication and resolution with clients on observed SOX deficiencies.Qualifications, skills, and experience required for this role include:- Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA (US), or ACCA (UK) with 3 years of experience in SOX/IFC designing and implementation.- 2 to 7 years of relevant experience in SOX/IFC designing & implementation, preferably from a Big 4 or reputed consulting firm.- Experience in risk assessment procedures, process flow mapping, design and documentation of RACM, controls testing, evaluation of control deficiencies, and remediation plans.- Strong analytical skills, understanding of financial statements under Indian/US GAAP, and knowledge of the SOX framework.- Excellent communication and report writing skills, capability of handling pressure, managing complex situations, and dealing with big clients.- Proficiency in Excel, Visio, Word, and other MS Office applications.At EY, the focus is on building a better working world by creating long-term value for clients, people, and society, as well as building trust in the capital markets.
