Job Description

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  • Interaction with CDMM, PVT & Plant team to understand the expectations, technical requirements & plan countermeasures.
  • Process optimization/resolving the process related issues at Supplier place with Best in class control methods
  • Analysis of warranty complaints on plastic / Painted parts, find out root cause and take related corrective action
  • To monitor the supplier performance across all the locations in sector and initiate Corrective and Preventive actions in case of any nonconformity reported
  • Conduct various audits (System, process and Concern base) at Supplier end & improve systems at supplier to achieve Zero Defects Supplies.
  • Assess the process capability of Critical to Quality Parameters of the parts and improve process capabilities as per requirement.
  • Involvement in development of new products at initial phases along with CDMM teams and ensuing Deployment of all lessons learnt from previous projects / concern closures.
  • Participate in PTR at supplier and ensure First Time Right development of parts
  • Arrange supplier meets & Escalation of issues with supplier top management & his/her commodity head.
  • Interact with various departments for effective analysis, action planning, action deployment and closure of concerns in various forum(s).
  • Reduction of internal quality indicators like PPMeq, Warranty indicators like supplier RPT 3MIS/ 12 MIS
  • Variability reduction projects
  • Project deliverables First time right, Every thing right parts
  • Ensure that the lessons learned from product families are shared with the platform team (COE, CDMM etc) for new product development as input for prevention of repeated known issues
  • Provide support and involvement in new product development improvements through early involvement into product development Process and completion of joint PPAP with CDMM
  • Monitor supplier performance measurement, supplier audits and Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR), etc
Experience:
  • 3-7 years with min 2 years of experience of working as a SQA/SQE function

Qualifications
  • BTech/B.E Mechanical / Polymer/paint technology
General RequirementsWorking Knowledge of following vehicle systems for Three wheelers, Passenger cars & UVs, Pickups, Trucks and Buses: -
  • Areas of Experience: Plastic part painting process Knowledge,
  • know how on plastics Polypropylene, Nylon, POM, ABS, ASA Soft trim plastics
  • Testing methods knowledge on different testing methods for plastics & paint applications as per ASTM / SAE / OEM standards
  • Knowledge of Plastic processes Molding, tooling preferred.
  • Knowledge about GD&T
  • Proficient in using MS Office .
