Assistant Manager - Purchase

Job Description

As an Assistant Manager Purchase at Vishal Builders, your primary responsibility will be to oversee procurement operations, vendor coordination, ERP-based purchase management, and ensure timely availability of materials for ongoing projects. Your key responsibilities will include:- Managing end-to-end procurement of construction materials, goods, and services in line with project requirements and budgets.- Handling procurement processes through ERP systems, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.- Maintaining strong knowledge of building materials, suppliers, and pricing trends to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.- Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships, evaluating vendor performance, and resolving any quality, delivery, or billing issues.- Preparing, issuing, and tracking purchase orders to ensure timely deliveries and compliance with company policies.- Regularly following up with vendors, project sites, and internal teams to ensure material availability and avoid delays.- Negotiating terms, prices, and delivery schedules with vendors to secure favorable deals.- Compiling procurement data and providing reports on material requirements, inventory levels, and vendor performance.- Liaising with project sites to understand material needs and ensure smooth supply chain operations.- Carrying out additional tasks assigned by management as required.Qualifications required for this role include:- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field.- Minimum 4-6 years of procurement experience, preferably in the construction/infrastructure sector.- Strong knowledge of building materials, ERP systems, and procurement processes.- Good negotiation and vendor management skills.- Strong communication, follow-up, and organizational skills.About Vishal Builders:Vishal Builders Group is a leading infrastructure development company, delivering quality projects across multiple states.
