Job Description

Position: Senior Analyst, Strategic Offense, Government Affairs and Public PolicyLocations: San Francisco, CA, USA; Washington D.C., DC, USAExperience driving progress, solving problems, and mentoring more junior team members; deeper expertise and applied knowledge within relevant area.Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in policy analysis and campaigns, working on technology issues or the policy environments that surround them.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience collaborating on technology policy campaigns.
  • Experience in the private sector, particularly in the technical industry.
  • Experience building coalitions, especially with issue or industry advocacy groups.
About the jobAs a member of Googles Government Affairs and Public Policy team, youll be part of a diverse global government affairs team, working across regions, product areas, and functions. Working closely with Google leaders, GAPP seeks to identify key policy issues, listen carefully to others views and opinions, and distill and share the companys perspective on those issues with external stakeholders. While we focus on challenges affecting the internet, our issue areas are increasingly broad and encompass many areas where public policy, business, and technology intersect.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $113,000-$162,000bonusequitybenefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Support and drive multiple affirmative policy campaigns in collaboration with executive team members.
  • Partner with other industry participants and policy stakeholders to improve regulatory frameworks in the areas of consumer and enterprise choice, and product quality standards.
  • Contribute to the development of policy strategy, leveraging your working knowledge of the external environment.
