Job Description

    Company: Leading General InsuranceRole: Chemical Risk EngineerLocation: BarodaWork Days:5Ideal Applicant:Education:ChemicalEngineerfrom a reputed institutionExperience: 6 years work experience in Safety andRisk.Industry: Worked in anindustry, preferably inchemical/petrochemical /power plant or an EPC consultancy company.**This is a travel based job. Travel scopewill be PAN India travel frequency will depend on business needs.**JobDescription:
    1. To carry out and perform risk engineering initiatives in line with the guidelines and policies of the company.
    2. Develop, evaluate & implement systems/procedures for development and implementation specialized Risk Engineering Services for Chemical, Petrochemical, Power and related industrial sectors.
    3. Comprehensive Fire Safety Audits, HAZOP related studies, and similar risk engineering assignments. Perform audits of the machinery, safety equipment and management, programs to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety compliance to regulations & standards.
    4. Work on industrial accidents, causes and preventive measures, analysis and report or review findings from accident investigation,risk assessment.
    5. Review and provide design recommendations for new projects and proposed facility modifications to ensure conformance with process safety and loss prevention codes, standards and procedures.
    6. Conduct loss prevention studies, presenting to clients and work on Risk Solutions including VAS products.
    Exposure:
    1. The person should have worked in aChemicalManufacturingfirm or the manufacturing industry.
    2. The person to have in-depth experience inriskengineeringof complex processes, suggesting /implementingriskmitigation measures in the project /operational stage, including conductingriskaudits for project and operational facilities.RiskAssessment, Safety Audits, Electrical Safety Audits, Thermography Audits, and Fire Protection Facility Gap Audits are the added advantages.
    3. Hands-on experience in conducting Safety Audits, Comprehensive Fire Safety Audits, HAZOP-related studies, Electricalriskaudits and similarriskengineeringassignments.
