Job Description

    Job Title Resident Construction ManagerReference No. KC/02Reports to PartnerLocation Work site in and around Vadodara, Ahmedabad, DahejContextRCM shall head the site execution team and will be responsible for ensuring that the project is completed successfully within time and budget and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders. Strong multidisciplinary execution, project management, man management and cost control skills are essential for this position.Responsibilities Lead project execution at site including planning, mobilization of resources, team management, etc from LOI/date of deputation till handover and post handover reconciliations and close outs. Lead client meetings including project kick-off I review I closeout meetings and carry out all communication required for the project execution.Manage project controls including resource control to avoid wastage and cost control by ensuring bills are prepared and presented on time.Identify long lead items / potential bottle necks and take timely action to address the sameManage client/consultant relationship and ensure satisfaction as well as ensure harmonious working conditions and relationships in the site teamEnsure that terms and conditions of contract, specifications, etc are adhered to by the site team.Identification of Non Tender Items and finalization of the same prior to execution of work.Ensuring quality of work and material being used in the activitiesQualification & ExperienceDegree / Diploma in Civil Engineering - 15 years work experience in the Construction Industry including 5 years as RCM / Site leader on relevant projects of value Rs. 20 cr and moreKey SkillsProject planning, management and controlsGood people skills, Interpersonal relationship managementKnowledge of Conditions of contract, BOQ, work methodology, specifications, materials and good construction practicesResourcefulnessNegotiation SkillsKeys to Success Complete ownership of all activities related to the project from kickoff till successful handover including but not limited to Ensuring Works execution with stringent time, cost and quality control while conforming to safety normsTimely resource mobilization and minimizing wastageTeam and Relationship building and managementAbility to forecast Bottlenecks and timely actionEffective client and consultant interaction and ensure complete satisfactionProblem solving .
