Job Description

    • Job Title: Senior COBOL DeveloperExperience: 5 to 9 YearsLocation: Pune/Vadodara/ChennaiNotice Period: Immediate to 15 daysWork Timings: 1 PM noon to 10 PM night (Hybrid mode)Primary Skill: Experience in CSX Mainframe-to-UNICICS conversion project. UNICICS is a requisite.Responsibilities:
      1. Develop, maintain, and enhance COBOL applications in a mainframe environment.
      2. Lead and participate in the CSX Mainframe-to-UNICICS conversion project, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project requirements.
      3. Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and COBOL programs.
      4. Perform code reviews, debugging, and testing to ensure the quality and reliability of COBOL applications.
      5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, testers, and project managers, to deliver effective solutions.
      6. Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers as needed.
      7. Document technical designs, code changes, and project-related activities.
      8. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in COBOL development and mainframe technologies.
      Requirements:
      1. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
      2. 5 to 9 years of experience in COBOL development in a mainframe environment.
      3. Experience with the CSX Mainframe-to-UNICICS conversion project is mandatory.
      4. Strong understanding of COBOL programming language and mainframe technologies.
      5. Experience with UNICICS is essential.
      6. Knowledge of JCL, VSAM, DB2, and other mainframe tools and utilities.
      7. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
      8. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
      9. Effective communication and collaboration skills.
      10. Flexibility to work in a hybrid mode with afternoon to late evening timings.
