Senior Java Software Engineer

Job Description

As a Java Developer at our company, you will be responsible for performing general application development activities using Java, Spring Boot on GCP. Your key responsibilities will include:- Maintaining and enhancing high-scale applications from the backend to the UI layer, focusing on operational excellence, security, and scalability.- Applying modern software development practices such as serverless computing, microservices architecture, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code.- Tackling product or system issues, debugging, tracking, and resolving them by analyzing the sources of issues and their impact on network or service operations.- Integrating systems with existing internal systems, Data Fabric, and CSA Toolset.- Documenting code and processes for ease of understanding by other developers.- Participating actively in the estimation process, project planning, user story grooming, sprint reviews, retrospectives, etc.Qualifications required for this role include:- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience- 4 years of overall IT experience- 4 years experience working with Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices- 2 years experience with Cloud technology: GCP, AWS, or Azure- 2 years experience with source code management systems (e.g. SVN/Git, GitHub), CICD, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code- 2 years experience with software build management tools like Maven or GradleWhat could set you apart in this role:- Being a self-starter who can respond to priority shifts with minimal supervision- Awareness of the latest technologies and trends- Career graph demonstrating a willingness to learn and grow- Experience in UI development (e.g. HTML, JavaScript, Angular, and Bootstrap)- Familiarity with Agile environments (e.g. Scrum, XP)- Knowledge of relational databases (e.g. SQL Server, MySQL)- Proficiency in Atlassian tooling (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, and GitHub)- Experience in developing with modern JDK (v1.7)Join us in our journey of designing, developing, and operating innovative products and services that shape the future.
