Data Science Manager/Senior Data Scientist

Job Description

As a Data Science Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading the development of machine learning models and advanced analytics specifically for network security applications. Your responsibilities will include guiding data science initiatives, overseeing model design and validation, and managing project delivery timelines. You will collaborate closely with engineers, mentor junior team members, and effectively communicate results to stakeholders to drive innovation and security solutions at scale.Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development and implementation of machine learning models tailored for network security applications- Oversee data analysis processes and design advanced visualizations to effectively communicate insights- Guide model selection, training, and validation procedures- Develop algorithms for real-time forecasting and predictions- Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables- Collaborate with and mentor the Data Engineer and ML/LLM Developer- Communicate project progress and results to stakeholdersQualifications Required:- Bachelor or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Statistics, or a related field- 5 to 7 years of experience in data science with at least 2 years in a leadership role- Experience in network security or cybersecurity- Knowledge of time series analysis and anomaly detection techniques- Familiarity with graph analytics and network analysis- Expertise in Python and R for data analysis and modeling- Proficiency in machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch- Strong knowledge of statistical analysis and probability theory- Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop ecosystem, Spark)- Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases- Strong data visualization skills using Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, or Tableau- Experience with version control systems like Git- Knowledge of data privacy and security best practices- Experience with deep learning models for sequence data- Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes- Project management experience with Agile methodologies preferredAdditional Details:The company is focused on developing innovative solutions in the field of network security applications.
