As a manager at Gartner IT, you will play a crucial role in shaping and delivering complex data-driven solutions that transform the business. Your responsibilities will include leading a team focused on developing analytical insights, recommendation engines, and specialized algorithms. You will need to proactively identify new opportunities to leverage data science for enhanced business outcomes.- Lead, coach, and develop a team of talented software engineers- Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for the teams projects- Drive architecture and technical design discussions- Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables within an Agile Scrum environment- Champion best practices in software development- Stay informed about the latest advancements in web technologies and data science- Collaborate extensively with product management, data science, and other engineering teams- Effectively communicate complex technical insights and project status to diverse stakeholdersQualifications Required:- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience in software development- 810 years of progressive experience in software engineering, with at least 23 years in a leadership or management role- Deep expertise in building and deploying complex, scalable web applications and services- Proficiency in React, Java, Spring (Spring Boot, Spring JPA), and distributed systems- Strong proficiency in Java and extensive experience with frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring JPAAbout Gartner:Gartner, Inc.
