As a Senior Logistics and Warehouse Operations Manager at our client, a leading logistics and supply chain solutions provider in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, IN, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day operations of extensive warehouse facilities. Your responsibilities will include managing all aspects of warehouse operations, developing operational strategies to enhance efficiency, and leading a large operational team to ensure safety, productivity, and accountability.**Key Responsibilities:**- Manage all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control.- Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.- Oversee inventory management systems, ensuring accuracy, minimizing stockouts, and optimizing inventory levels.- Lead, train, and mentor warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety, productivity, and accountability.- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the warehouse.- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, carriers, and suppliers to optimize transportation and delivery schedules.- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehouse operations and logistics, reporting on performance to senior management.- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma to streamline processes and eliminate waste.- Manage the maintenance and upkeep of warehouse equipment and facilities.- Oversee the accurate and timely processing of all shipping and receiving documentation.- Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.- Resolve operational issues and challenges effectively and efficiently.**Qualifications:**- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
