You will work with a team that is focused on advancing health optimization on a global scale, guided by a culture of inclusion and supported by comprehensive benefits and career development opportunities.Key Responsibilities:- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, and apply them to operations and activities- Take responsibility for large and complex components, influencing overall Data architecture and patterns- Influence team designs and solutions, mentor software engineers through code reviews and design sessions- Contribute meaningfully to code reviews, providing collaborative guidance and feedback- Design thoughtful solutions for APIs, Data Structures, Data Models, Algorithms, and Application Sequences- Deliver well-integrated, testable, maintainable, and performant solutions using appropriate toolsets- Drive down technical debt by choosing refactor opportunities in alignment with sprint and program goals- Incorporate automation in testing, build, and deployment processes to increase team efficiencies- Work with internal stakeholders to prioritize and synthesize into a quarterly roadmap for the platform- Comply with employment contract terms, company policies, and procedures, and any directivesQualifications Required:- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field- 12 years of experience in software development- 8 years of experience delivering solutions focusing on .Net, Java, Angular/React, Python for AI/ML, and automation- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, DevOps best practices in cloud native environments- Proficiency in C#, .Net Core, Web API, Java, Angular, React, Databricks, Python, Azure Public Cloud, Git, Sonar- Knowledge of Open-Source Tools and Framework, Entity Framework Core, product management principles, and agile software development practices- Strong problem-solving skills and understanding of Data StructuresAt UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and improve the health system for everyone, regardless of race, gender, sexuality, age, location, or income.
