As a Senior Software Engineering Manager at Caterpillar Inc., your role is crucial in leading the design, development, and deployment of state-of-the-art digital products within areas of eCommerce. Your focus will be on transforming and building a world-class eCommerce application in alignment with CAT Digital Strategy.**Key Responsibilities:**- Identify, hire, and build world-class teams of Software Engineers to execute the strategic vision- Improve processes for efficient collaboration between local and global teams- Develop teams of highly motivated individuals to collaborate across departments- Design, build, and own features and programs to enhance customer experience- Supervise projects related to developing business and technical solutions- Work with product managers to develop a strategy and road map for product capabilities- Drive engineering best practices and innovative technologies- Prioritize projects, manage stakeholders, and track commitments- Mentor and develop direct reports for career growth and satisfaction- Provide technical support and direction to teams- Evaluate problems and provide solutions, impacting key quality goals**Qualifications Required:**- Four-year degree from an accredited college or university- 15 years of experience in designing and developing software applications in Full stack (UI in Angular/React) & Java, or at least 10 years of experience with a masters degree in computer science- 7 years of experience in managing software development teams- 5 years of experience in public cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure- Demonstrated leadership on medium to large-scale projects- Ability to cope with shifting priorities and timelines- Passion for technology and innovation**Additional Company Details:**Caterpillar is dedicated to creating a more sustainable future by fostering a culture of progress and innovation.
