Senior Operation Manager

Job Description

Role Overview:As a contributing member of the GBAM Ops Tax & Control team at Bank of America, your role will involve delivering high-quality results on various mandates in partnership with teams within Operations, Technology, and Finance. You will be responsible for tasks related to tax outreach, knowledge transfer, process documentation, controls building, testing, validation, MIS reporting, audit readiness, quality audit methodology, project coordination, understanding global financial markets, detail orientation, excel operations, stakeholder management, and more.Key Responsibilities:- Perform Tax Outreach related tasks assigned as part of BAU delivery- Work closely with SMEs for knowledge transfer, process documentation, and building controls- Support ad-hoc requirements of testing and validation arising from system conversions- Create and publish MIS reports, evaluate and identify opportunities for improvement- Identify gaps in the business, recommend controls for process streamlining- Ensure audit readiness by updating SOPs and governance documents timely- Design and streamline Quality Audit methodology, Rebuttal & Training/OJT processes- Proactively communicate upcoming technology changes and enhancements to leadership- Act as project coordinator for various OpEx initiatives and report progress- Demonstrate knowledge about Global Financial Markets and financial products across asset classes- Have an eye for detail, adhere to policy guidelines, and excel in numbers and excel operations- Engage with senior stakeholders, negotiate effectively, and manage multiple activities simultaneously- Demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills across regions, functions, and lines of businessQualification Required:- Education Qualification MBA/Post Graduate in finance- Experience Range 18-22 years of overall experience in Operations delivery- Foundational Skills: - Strong people management capabilities with leadership experience of 10 years - Experience in US / International Tax Operations - Familiarity with tax form solicitation, tax documentation, withholding, remittance, tax reporting - Understanding of front-to-back workflow and stakeholder management - Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills- Desired Skills: - Project management skills - Tableau dashboard creationPlease Note: The work timings for this role are from 07:30 to 04:30 AM, and the job location is in Chennai.
