Job Description

As a Specialist - Accounting & Compliance at Lennox International in Chennai, you will be joining a leading global provider of innovative climate control solutions. Your role will primarily involve handling highly complex accounting, reconciliation, financial reporting, and analysis of Lennoxs leased assets.Key Responsibilities:- Sending monthly timelines to accounting and business teams across all Lennox entities, setting cut-off dates for lease activities throughout the month.- Reviewing newly abstracted incremental leases in the lease management tool.- Checking lease invoice entries and adjustment entries accounted for during the month.- Performing reconciliation of lease general ledgers and providing necessary adjustment entries.- Reviewing the final reconciliation prepared by team members as part of month-close activities.- Addressing questions and clarifications from auditors, business units, accounting units, and team members.- Preparing/reviewing quarterly and annual workpapers required for lease accounting disclosures.- Involvement in preparing/reviewing the Accounting Disclosure Checklist and footnote disclosures for auditors clearance.Qualifications Required:- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 3-5 years of experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a big4 firm.- Strong knowledge in ASC842 Lease Accounting Standard or willingness to quickly acquire it.- Working knowledge of Accounting Standards (preferably US GAAP).- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
