Role Overview:As a Senior Data Analyst at Capital One, you will play a crucial role in leveraging your analytic and technical skills to innovate, build, and maintain well-managed data solutions and capabilities to address business challenges. Your work will involve a mix of responsibilities including Innovation, Business Intelligence, and Data Management, allowing you to explore various aspects of data-driven decision-making.Key Responsibilities:- **Innovation:** - Utilize Open Source/Digital technologies to extract insights from complex and diverse data sources. - Develop well-managed data solutions to enable self-service frameworks for data consumers. - Adapt quickly to new technologies to drive various initiatives forward.- **Business Intelligence:** - Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into tools, techniques, metrics, and dashboards for data visualization. - Conduct analysis to generate valuable insights supporting business strategies.- **Data Management:** - Uphold principles of data quality management including metadata, lineage, and business definitions. - Work with Tech teams to implement security measures and data access governance. - Create tools for monitoring and reporting on data quality.Qualifications Required:- **Basic Qualifications:** - Bachelors Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related) with at least 2 years of data analytics experience OR Masters Degree in a relevant field. - 1 year of experience with at least one scripting language. - 1 year of experience using a business intelligence visualization tool. - 1 year of experience in querying, analyzing, and working with data languages and platforms.- **Preferred Qualifications:** - Masters Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics discipline. - 2 years of experience coding in Python, R, Spark, or SQL. - 2 years of experience in process management and improvement methodologies like Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, etc. - 1 year of experience with AWS services. - 1 year of experience in data governance, data quality management concepts, and tools like Informatica DQ.Additional Company Details:Capital One is dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace and offers a comprehensive set of health, financial, and other benefits to support your overall well-being. The salary range for the Sr. Data Analyst position in Richmond, VA, is between $101,100 and $115,400 annually.
