Senior Data Analyst - Business Intelligence/SQL Server

Job Description

In this role at Emerson, you will be responsible for supporting BI tool stack, specifically SSIS, SSRS, Azure Synapse Analytics, ETL, SQL Server programming, and Data Marts. Your key responsibilities will include providing prompt support, maintenance, and development to assigned projects, understanding business needs, developing solutions, and supporting production systems. You will be proficient in Microsoft BI tool stack and SQL server programming, performing root cause analysis on production issues, refining and automating regular processes, and tracking issues and documenting changes. Additionally, you will be responsible for configuring and maintaining database servers and processes, handling tier 3 support tickets, writing ETL jobs, implementing SSIS package configurations, designing and developing reports using SSRS, working on Azure services, and writing complex SQL and PLSQL programs for performance tuning. You will also be required to have good communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical customers, work closely with partners from Business, IT, Users, admin, and functional managers, and possess Microsoft certifications in data-related fields. For this role, you need to have 6-7 years of experience working with the Microsoft BI tool stack and SQL server programming, strong analytical abilities, proficiency in database management, SQL query optimization, data visualization tools, and strategic business analysis. You should be flexible to work in a 24x7 environment and have a Bachelors degree or equivalent in Science with a technical background.
