Job Description

As an Automation Development Engineer 2 at Comcast, you will be responsible for planning and designing new software and web applications. You will edit new and existing applications, implement, test, and debug defined software components. Your role will involve documenting all development activity and working with moderate guidance in your area of knowledge.**Core Responsibilities:**- Analyze and determine integration needs.- Evaluate and plan software designs, test results, and technical manuals.- Review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects.- Program new software, web applications, and support new applications under development and the customization of current applications.- Edit and review technical requirements documentation.- Work with the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements.- Display knowledge of engineering methodologies, concepts, skills, and their application in the area of the specified engineering specialty.- Display knowledge of and ability to apply process design and redesign skills.- Display in-depth knowledge of and ability to apply project management skills.- Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.- Be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as necessary.**Qualifications Required:**- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.- Good coding skills.- 2 years of experience in NodeJS (Javascript and/or TypeScript) and/or Python.- 2 years of experience in Testing Automation (e.g., Cypress).- 1 years of hands-on experience with CI/CD (e.g., Jenkins, Gitlab CI, Concourse, etc.).- 2 years of hands-on experience writing unit, integration, and e2e tests.- 1 years of experience with Micro-services.- 1 years of hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.- 2 years of proven experience with software development principles, methodologies, and best practices.- 1 years of proven ability in defining test case scenarios with BDD methodology.- Experience writing technical documentation.- Good communication and time management skills.If you share the passion for teamwork, the vision to revolutionize industries, and the goal to lead the future in media and technology, Comcast welcomes you to fast-forward your career as an Automation Development Engineer 2.
