Job Description

    As a Supply Chain Professional looking for growth opportunities, you have an exciting role at Emerson as a Team lead in Procurement. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring material availability to support business growth, profitability, and service level improvement through procurement strategies. Your responsibilities will include:- Planning and issuing Purchase Orders to suppliers and coordinating direct shipments of parts to the factory.- Communicating with suppliers for PO acknowledgment and confirmations, updating the same in the ERP system.- Following up or expediting with suppliers to ensure customer requirements are met and ensure on-time delivery.- Implementing ASN process with suppliers to ensure appropriate material receipt.- Sending delivery performance to suppliers and working with non-performing suppliers for improvement.- Working with suppliers to improve their flexibility to support surge and project orders.- Evaluating and determining the best shipment mode to optimize logistic cost.- Maintaining pricing and resolving pricing discrepancies to avoid delays in GRN and payment issues.- Ensuring purchases are compliant with trade, import/export policy.- Executing exception messages in ERP to avoid excess inventory.- Escalating supplier delivery issues to the Supply Chain Manager and Planning team, and working on alternate sources and mitigation plans.- Reconciling open PO and Inventory for subcontract materials.- Working with suppliers on Demand-Pull Inventory (DPI) to stabilize the material inflow.- Managing a team, providing guidance, mentoring to solve day-to-day issues, setting performance goals, and having periodic reviews to achieve targets.- Identifying/analyzing gaps in the current process and providing suitable solutions.- Continuously monitoring supplier performance to meet the RSDL of 95%.You hold yourself and others accountable to meet commitments, take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm. You act quickly and critically in constantly fast-paced and unexpected situations. To qualify for this role, you will need:- Minimum of 10 years of purchasing/procurement/supply chain experience.- Excellent computer skills and technical aptitude, including strong data gathering skills, expertise, interpretation, and reporting for the supply chain organization.- Sound communication skills to deal with suppliers (domestic and global).- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with expertise in data analysis and management.Preferred qualifications that set you apart include:- B.E/B Tech or any Equivalent degree.- Knowledge in ERP systems like Fourth shift, Oracle is preferred.- People management skills.At Emerson, the workplace prioritizes valuing, respecting, and empowering every employee to grow.
