Job Description

As a Cloud Data Engineer at Newell Brands, you will be responsible for participating in the full lifecycle of cloud data architecture, specifically focusing on Azure cloud. Your key responsibilities will include:- Gathering and understanding end-user analytics and reporting needs- Migrating On-Prem applications and building CI/CD pipeline in the Cloud platform- Designing, developing, testing, and implementing ingestion, transformation, and export pipelines on the Cloud platform to ensure reliability and performance- Ensuring best practices are followed to achieve business objectives by focusing on process improvements- Quickly adapting by learning and recommending new technologies and trends- Developing and testing data engineering related activities on the Cloud Data Platform- Working with dynamic tools within a BI/reporting environmentTo qualify for this role, you should have:- B.E/B.Tech, M.Sc/MCA degree- 5 years of experience in a rapid development environment, preferably within an analytics environment- 3 years of experience with Cloud platforms (Preferably Azure but not mandatory)- Proficiency in T-SQL, SQL Scripts, Queries, Stored Procedures, Functions, and Triggers- Proficiency in Python, C#, or Scala- Experience with Cloud ETL/ELT frameworks, preferably Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL, Azure Data lakes, Azure Data bricks, Airflow, and Power BI- Knowledge of data warehousing principles and frameworks- Knowledge in Cloud DevOps and CI/CD pipelines would be an added advantageNewell Brands is a leading global consumer goods company with a strong portfolio of well-known brands, including Rubbermaid, FoodSaver, Calphalon, Sistema, Sharpie, Paper Mate, Dymo, EXPO, Elmers, Yankee Candle, Graco, NUK, Rubbermaid Commercial Products, Spontex, Coleman, Campingaz, Oster, Sunbeam, and Mr. Coffee.
