Cyber Security Engineer - HVDC

Job Description

Role Overview:As a Technical Marketing Engineer for Mission Critical Telecommunication Solutions (MCS) at Hitachi Energy, you will have the global responsibility of enabling the Pre-Sales & Sales community across different regional HUBs to understand technical market requirements for wired telecommunication networks. Your role will involve ensuring customer interaction aligns with the global solution/product strategy.Key Responsibilities:- Support Global Projects by adapting HVDC Cyber security for SCADA & HMI, developing architecture & functional descriptions for Functions/Solutions for future HVDC in cyber security technologies.- Prepare & perform test case scenarios, participate in FST, and support projects in resolving issues related to Cyber security Functions.- Coordinate with stakeholders to optimize Cyber security solutions in HVDC.- Design & develop a secured network architecture for SCADA system with advanced cyber security features, evaluate and strengthen the security of connections to the SCADA network.- Monitor and validate third-party security patches to maintain system reliability.- Implement security features provided by device and system vendors.- Perform technical audits of SCADA devices and networks, identify security concerns, conduct physical security surveys, and assess remote sites connected to the SCADA network for security.- Maintain the test environment with updated software and hardware, backup/image handling on servers and workstations, and patch management.- Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.Qualifications Required:- Bachelors degree in computer science/IT with minimum knowledge in networking & protections.- 6 to 10 years of experience in networking, security, Anti-Virus.- Basic knowledge of IEEE/IEC standards.- Knowledge & experience in MS Office: Word, Excel.- Self-starter with the ability to own tasks through to completion.- Strong attention to detail.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
