Data Analyst - Banking & Finance

Job Description

Role Overview:You will be responsible for utilizing your 6 years of experience in the banking & finance domain to perform data analysis, profiling, clean-up, data wrangling, and validation. Your role will involve building data quality checks and writing complex SQL queries. Additionally, you will be expected to have a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and be familiar with Solutions Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies such as agile, waterfall, and iterative. Capturing Data Lineage and Data Mapping between Source and Target systems will also be a key part of your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities:- Perform data analysis, profiling, clean-up, data wrangling, and validation in the banking & finance domain- Build data quality checks and write complex SQL queries- Demonstrate a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts- Utilize Solutions Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies including agile, waterfall, and iterative- Capture Data Lineage and Data Mapping between Source and Target systems- Report progress of assignments regularly to Project Management- Raise any issues/concerns and propose mitigation strategies- Utilize strong communication and interpersonal skillsQualifications Required:- Educational qualification: MBA / B.E. / Any post-graduation- Overall experience of 14 years with 6 years specifically in banking & finance domain- Knowledge of business domains such as Banking domain concepts, Everyday Banking, AML, Fraud, or WealthAbout Cognizant:Cognizant (Nasdaq-100: CTSH) is a global professional services company that focuses on transforming clients business, operating, and technology models for the digital era.
