Job Description

Role Overview:You will be responsible for designing, building, and overseeing the deployment and operation of technology architecture, solutions, and software to capture, manage, store, and utilize structured and unstructured data from internal and external sources. Your role will involve establishing and building processes and structures based on business and technical requirements to channel data from multiple inputs, route appropriately, and store using any combination of distributed (cloud) structures, local databases, and other applicable storage forms as required. Additionally, you will develop technical tools and programming that leverage artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big-data techniques to cleanse, organize, and transform data while maintaining, defending, and updating data structures and integrity on an automated basis. You will create and establish design standards and assurance processes for software, systems, and applications development to ensure compatibility and operability of data connections, flows, and storage requirements. Furthermore, you will review internal and external business and product requirements for data operations and activity and suggest changes and upgrades to systems and storage to accommodate ongoing needs. You will collaborate with data modelers/analysts to understand the business problems they are trying to solve and create or augment data assets to feed their analysis.Key Responsibilities:- Be part of the Data Visualization Practice within the Data Platform team, mentoring and coaching other team members- Co-work with colleagues of other business units with different backgrounds, cultures, and roles to design innovative solutions, contributing with deep domain knowledge and highlighting opportunities, risks, and challenges- Work as a key member within a squad, understanding and contributing to the agile delivery process and taking ownership for your teams software quality from concept to production- Drive forward the production of reusable code and modules where appropriate with a view to maximizing effort and reducing development costs by applying principles of Agile delivery- Proactively identify opportunities to improve and rationalize applications and processes across all squads within the DP&A team, working in close collaboration with other team members and subject matter experts- Continuously implement, promote, and improve ways of working, defining best practices, frameworks, and processesQualifications Required:- Solid technical background in visualization tools, such as Tableau, with a focus and understanding of end-to-end best practice in providing self-serve data and dashboarding capability- Proven experience working with large, complex datasets in a cloud environment- Extensive data analysis and interpretation background to critically evaluate data gathered from various sources, helping key partners understand and maximize the potential of data- Self-motivated with energy and drive for continuous improvement and a focus on delivering results- Proven ability to influence technical decisions in a fast-moving commercial environment- Demonstrates exceptional communication and social skills and has a demonstrable ability to influence technical decisions in a fast-paced commercial environment(Note: Omitted additional details of the company as it was not present in the provided job description.)
