Engineer 3 - Engineering Operations (Fttx Product Support)

Job Description

Role Overview:You will be a part of Comcasts Technology, Product & Experience organization, working at the intersection of media and technology. Your role will involve developing and delivering innovative products to enhance customer experience. Your contributions will focus on creating enjoyable and accessible products across various platforms, including Broadband and Video products. You may be required to work on-site in most cases, collaborating with the team unless specified otherwise.Key Responsibilities:- Drive issues to closure by engaging appropriate resources, leading technical bridges, and providing troubleshooting direction- Advocate for Engineering Operations procedures, policies, and processes, ensuring projects are fully integrated into the operations environment- Create data and metric systems to track operational workflows, analyze data, identify problem areas, and provide actionable insights- Provide input to Engineering and vendors on defects and required enhancements, attaining relevant industry standard technical certifications- Perform maintenance tests, identify and escalate issues, contribute to design considerations for new products or architectural changes- Analyze problems in design, configuration, data flow, and data state within a complex multi-product provisioning system- Serve as a team lead on multiple projects, integrate projects into operations, and lead efforts to build new application infrastructure- Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance, attend work regularly and be flexible with work hours as necessaryQualification Required:- Bachelors Degree- 5-7 years of relevant work experience- Skills in Telecom Knowledge, Fttx Basics, Mongo/Oracle database, DataBricks, Production Support, user communication, JIRA/Service Now, and experience in working with any scripting languageNote: This information is intended to provide a general overview of the role and responsibilities performed by employees in this position.
