Job Description

    Role Overview:As a Technical Manager within the Online Build Team at TransUnion, your primary responsibility will be to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-grade modernization programs. These programs will focus on transitioning legacy systems to cloud-native microservices architectures. You will play a crucial role in providing strategic and technical leadership across cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with business goals, architectural standards, and delivery timelines. Your efforts will be instrumental in shaping the future of TransUnions online platforms and driving innovation at scale.Key Responsibilities:- Lead strategic modernization efforts by transitioning legacy systems to scalable, cloud-native microservices.- Collaborate with global teams to define and execute the Online Cloud roadmap, maintaining architectural consistency and operational excellence.- Provide technical leadership and oversight across multiple agile teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, business-critical solutions.- Champion engineering best practices such as CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps principles.- Drive talent development, performance management, and team capacity planning.- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.- Lead by example, promoting continuous learning, code quality, and cross-functional collaboration. Guide junior engineers and align technical direction with business goals.Qualifications Required:- 12 years of software engineering experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.- Demonstrated success in leading cloud migration and modernization programs.- Expertise in Java, GCP, microservices, and distributed systems.- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and DevSecOps practices.- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across global teams.Desirable Skills:- Experience with AI and LLMs.- Familiarity with PCI, SOX, security, compliance, and performance optimization in cloud environments.- Proven ability to assess, develop, and retain top engineering talent.Please note that this is a hybrid position requiring regular performance of job responsibilities both virtually and in-person at an assigned TransUnion office location for a minimum of two days a week.
