Job Description

Role Overview:As an Insprint Tester (Offshore Testing) at BNP Paribas India Solutions in Chennai, your role is crucial for functional testing purposes within the hidden_email will be responsible for analyzing requirements, designing functional test cases, executing tests, creating defects, supporting test automation, and collaborating closely with the IT development team.Key Responsibilities:- Analyze requirements and acceptance criteria of user stories/features- Provide advice on the team commitment for functional test effort- Design functional test cases in Jira/Xray using BDD (Cucumber format)- Execute functional tests within the sprint and document test results- Create and retest defects/findings in Jira- Support test automation feasibility analysis for functional test sets/cases- Provide daily reports on execution status and bugs- Ensure compliance with IT Test Governance Procedures and Agile Collaboration Guidelines- Collaborate with IT development, Test Analysts, and Test Automation Testers/Engineers- Utilize testing tools such as Jira/XRay, Postman, and Cucumber- Experience in CI/CD- Strong knowledge of agile testing process and functional testing methods- Familiarity with testing techniques and automation frameworks- Testing experience in Web Frontend, Mobile, API- Design test cases with BDD format and use of JIRA-XRay- Experience with CSS, HTML, Node.js, Angular JS, Java, CI/CD, GitLab, Nexus- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skillsQualifications Required:- Minimum 5 years of IT Software QA/Testing experience- Minimum 5 years of experience in functional testing of web, API, or mobile- Minimum 3 years of experience in BFSI domain, Personal finance/Lending experience is a plus- Hands-on experience with Jira/XRay- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills- Bachelors Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related fieldAdditional details of the company:BNP Paribas India Solutions is a wholly owned subsidiary of BNP Paribas SA, a leading European bank with an international reach.
