Job Description

    As a Lead Engineer at Staples Promotional Products, you will play a crucial role in driving the technical strategy, development, and maintenance of core applications and system integrations. Your responsibilities will include crafting and enhancing software components based on detailed design specifications to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability. Your expertise in system integration, testing, and technical documentation will be essential for designing intuitive front-end applications throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.Key Responsibilities:- Create or modify complex programs, modules, routines, scripts, and data objects with a focus on performance, efficiency, and reliability.- Assist in developing, testing, and maintaining software functionality, including coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting.- Engage in the full software development lifecycle, from requirement analysis to deployment, ensuring code quality and best practices.- Analyze, test, monitor, and enhance the performance, scalability, and functionality of software solutions.- Mentor junior software engineers, providing guidance and support, and lead by example in code quality.- Collaborate with Architects, business partners, and Product teams to ensure systems are implemented as designed.Qualifications Required:- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an eCommerce and engineering role.- Minimum of 6 years of experience working with high-traffic, large-scale distributed systems and cloud platforms.- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.- Proficiency in Full Stack .NET MVC technologies, C#, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, XML, and JSON.- Experience with React.js, Angular, Blazor, Knockout.js, JavaScript, jQuery, and database technologies like MS SQL and Cosmos DB.- Familiarity with Elastic Search, web services, APIs, and Azure app services.- Strong analytical abilities and familiarity with CI/CD using Azure DevOps or Github.In this role, you will also lead architectural planning and coordinate across distributed teams, ensuring adherence to development frameworks and standards. Success requires hands-on experience with eCommerce platforms, Azure Cloud services, AKS, and a solid grasp of data compliance and reporting requirements.
