Job Description

Role Overview:As a CICS Systems Programmer at Ensono, you will provide premium CICS system programming support and services to Ensono mainframe clients. Your main responsibilities will include performing mainframe CICS Transaction Server software administration and tuning to support customers CICS environments. You will collaborate with vendor personnel to ensure timely solutions to CICS-related problems.Key Responsibilities:- Fulfill customer service requests for mainframe z/OS customers in a timely manner, specifically related to CICS TS and related OEM software products.- Provide primary support for reported problems concerning CICS TS and related OEM software products.- Offer support on a 24 x 7 x 365 basis across multiple time zones.- Play a crucial role in customer migration services, particularly in new customer transitions related to CICS TS and related OEM software products.- Communicate issue statuses to both customers and management periodically during the resolution process.- Document issue cause, action, and resolution in the designated problem tracking system.- Assist the project manager in the migration of newly acquired customers by addressing technical hurdles promptly.- Collaborate with Disaster Recovery Services and other technical teams to execute tasks associated with customers disaster recovery plans.- Adhere to a schedule that efficiently manages resources and allows timely implementations.- Follow ITSM change control procedures effectively.Qualifications Required:- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.- 8 years of professional experience in CICS administration and systems programming support.- Proficiency in building new CICS regions and managing CICS in a parallel sysplex- CICSPlex environments.- Ability to innovate, develop strategies, processes, and best practices in software management.- Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of CICS TS concepts, configuration, and tailoring.- Thorough working knowledge of products used to monitor the performance of CICS TS regions.- Experience supporting planned and unplanned database recovery activities.- Knowledgeable in best practices of software management, maintenance, and documentation.- Experience in establishing policies and procedures related to CICS management, DR, security, maintenance, and utilization.- Ability to evaluate change requests, determine their impact on assigned clients, and troubleshoot and resolve production CICS-related issues.Additional Company Details:Ensono is an expert technology advisor and managed service provider with a dedicated team that helps organizations optimize their systems across hybrid environments.
