Job Description

    As a Mechanical Engineer at Hitachi Energy, you will have the opportunity to contribute your own ideas to identify, propose, and implement innovative technology development and solutions. You will be responsible for solving industrial problems independently.**Key Responsibilities:**- Undertaking various engineering assignments within projects and showcasing your technical expertise- Performing finite element simulations on structures subjected to various static and dynamic loads- Collaborating with engineers to develop and optimize new and existing products- Conducting feasibility studies, designing new products, and simulating their performance- Developing new simulation methodologies and tools for transformers- Providing clear conclusions and practical recommendations for the business- Transferring knowledge and findings through reports, specifications, and educational programs- Building and expanding relationships with stakeholders, internal functions, and external relevant parties- Providing proposals for potential partnerships and ensuring alignment with project goals- Enriching your expertise and visibility within your targeted area- Assessing production processes, identifying gaps, and seeking areas for improvement- Supporting factories troubleshooting within your domain of expertise- Engaging in IP discussions, preparing project clearance reports, and ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines**Qualification Required:**- B. Tech, BE, ME, M.Tech, MS, or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering- 4 to 10 years of experience in advanced numerical simulations- Proficiency in using commercial simulation tools like Ansys and COMSOL- Solid understanding of strength of materials and manufacturing technologies- Proficiency in CAD modeling software such as CATIA, CREO, Solidworks, and Solidedge- Excellent teamwork abilities and strong interpersonal skills- Knowledge in ACT and APDL programming in Ansys- Understanding of national standards and guidelines like EN, IEEE, and IEC- Experience in experimental stress analysis, structural testing, and project management- Willingness to work in remote and diverse environments and travel to factories when needed- Proficiency in both spoken and written English languageHitachi Energy values safety, integrity, and teamwork, and as a member of the team, you will be expected to embody these core values in your work.
