Project Engineer REVIT / CAD

Job Description

As the Design Authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity, your role involves completing assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. You will prepare Protection & Principle SLD, Schematics, Power supply scheme, Substation layouts plan & sections, Standard technical specifications for major equipment, and more based on technical specifications from end customers and inputs from the OU Engineering team. Your coordination with various teams including Engineering Manager, Engineering Leads, Tendering team, Product Manager, Project Managers, SCM, consultants, and end customers is crucial to providing the required support in each Project / Tender & development activity.Key Responsibilities:- Preparation of all Primary Engineering Deliverables for AIS & GIS projects- Substation layouts and section drawings preparation for budgetary offers / tenders based on customer specification- Prepare, review, and validate Bill of material for tenders or projects- Conduct design calculations related to Primary Engineering- Plan review meetings, workload for the team, and opex initiatives- Obtain customer approvals for designs and drawings- Perform technical risk and opportunity assessment and validation- Participate in customer meetings / site visits for tender/project clarifications- Estimate engineering effort for each project for costing at the tender stage- Maintain and update documentation for respective tenders and projects as per the quality processQualifications Required:- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering- 5 to 8 years of experience in CAD design tools (Autodesk Revit, 3D competence preferred) and Engineering calculation tools- Knowledge in substation tendering and project engineering activities (technical & commercial)- Proficiency in both spoken & written English languageHitachi Energy, a global technology leader in electrification, is dedicated to powering a sustainable energy future through innovative power grid technologies with digital at the core.
