QA Test Engineer - Mobile App Testing

Job Description

As a part of the Global Engineering Team in Chennai, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of mobile, web, and desktop applications by creating test plans, test scripts, test cases, and test data. Your responsibilities will include conducting functional, regression, and performance testing, recording test results, attending design meetings, providing input on User Story creation, participating in daily stand-up meetings, triaging issues reported in the field, learning test automation strategies, and collaborating with fellow engineers to find solutions and quick fixes to problems. You will also install, configure, and operate the product in test and production environments, working in a high-velocity, agile team.**Key Responsibilities:**- Create Test Plans, Test Scripts, Test Cases, and Test Data- Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing for mobile, web, and desktop applications- Record test results and manage tickets- Attend design meetings and provide testing perspective- Participate in daily stand-up meetings- Triage issues reported in the field- Learn test automation strategies- Install, configure, and operate the product in test and production environments- Collaborate with fellow engineers to find solutions- Work in a high-velocity, agile team**Technical Requirements:**- Experience with Mobile App testing (Automation & Manual)- Good experience with Appium for mobile test automation- Proven Experience in Selenium WebDriver and frameworks for web UI automation- Experience with at least one Test Case Management tool (TestRail, Zephyr, EggPlant, TestLodge, etc.)- Ability to write and execute test cases, and record results- Knowledge of testing methodologies- Ability to adapt quickly to a complex environment- Understanding of Change and Release Management- Experience in Agile software development environment preferred**Experience and/or Education Qualification:**- Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science Engineering, or related field required, with a graduate degree preferred- 3 to 5 years of overall experience in Test/QA- Experience with Mobile App and Web Application (manual & Automation testing)- Knowledge of security products like access control systems, readers, smart cards, protocols, etc.- Experience with Selenium and Appium- Experience with Atlassian suite: Jira, Confluence, etc.- Experience with CI tools like Jenkins or BambooIf you are a dynamic, highly skilled, experienced engineer with a passion for new technology and innovation, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, you are encouraged to apply and be a part of a global team dedicated to shaping the future of security at HID Global.
