SCADA HMI Engineer HVDC Automation

Job Description

As an HMI / SCADA Developer at Hitachi Energy, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the SCADA system aligns with customer requirements while upholding Hitachi standards. Your responsibilities will include:- Focusing on continuously improving HVDCs Overall HMI.- Developing and maintaining SCADA/HMI applications using MicroSCADA and Zenon SCADA software platforms.- Designing and developing a secured network architecture for SCADA/HMI systems in AC Substation and HVDC projects.- Coordinating technically with sub-suppliers and multiple stakeholders across different locations.- Demonstrating hands-on IT infrastructure experience with Routers, Firewalls, Switches, Servers, and workstations, including basic networking skills.- Creating and customizing templates, faceplates, and popups in MicroSCADA and Zenon SCADA to meet project-specific HMI requirements and collaborating with other departments/stakeholders for work division.- Participating in FAT/SAT activities with sub-suppliers and providing technical support during the projects commissioning phase.- Evaluating and enhancing the security of connections to the DCS/SCADA/HMI network, leading automation projects, and mentoring team members based on business requirements.- Ensuring compliance with relevant external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines in line with Hitachi Energys core values of safety and integrity.Your background should ideally include:- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), or Electronics and Instrumentation (E&I).- 5 to 8 years of experience in substation automation projects in India and international locations.- Knowledge of Micro SCADA, Zenon (Copa Data), MS Visio, and MS Office.- Experience in collaborating with multiple stakeholders to finalize solutions.- Preferred certifications in SCADA/HMI, Networking, CCNA, CCNP, and Cyber Security.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality digital solutions.If you are a qualified individual with a disability requiring accessibility assistance during the job application process, you can request reasonable accommodations by completing a general inquiry form on the Hitachi Energy website.
