Job Description

    As a Senior Associate in Financial Planning & Analysis at BNY, you will play a vital role in supporting budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and conducting deep dive analysis in allocations. Your responsibilities will include:- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and deep dive analysis in allocations.- Providing monthly and quarterly analysis on allocations, understanding headcount, compensation, and non-compensation expenses variances.- Understanding and maintaining different allocation rules and methodologies for certain lines of business.- Providing detailed variance commentary for allocations considering various scenarios.To excel in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:- Bachelors degree in a financial discipline such as accounting, finance, statistics, or economics; MBA or equivalent is preferred.- Professional qualifications like CA, CMA, or equivalent certification would be advantageous.- 6 or more years of experience in budgeting, planning, forecasting, cost allocations, and financial analysis.- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.- Self-starter with the ability to drive change independently.- Analytical mindset with the capability to delve into intricate details on allocations.- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.- Confident and calm demeanor with the ability to perform under pressure.- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).- Proficiency with reporting tools like MAQ, Cognos, Power BI.- Familiarity with Oracle or other relative ERP/accounting tools.- Knowledge of Apptio is an added advantage.As part of the BNY team, you will have access to highly competitive compensation, benefits, and wellbeing programs designed to support your personal and professional growth.
