Senior Financial Accountant

Job Description

In this role at Wells Fargo, you will be working within the wider Controllers Team to support the preparation and submission of regulatory reporting to various regulatory authorities. Your responsibilities will include overseeing production activities, reviewing reporting output, and maintaining a robust control environment.Key Responsibilities:- Perform regulatory reporting production tasks (Basel) by supporting technical analysis of reporting rules/instructions, data sourcing, data ingestion processes, data transformation, and analytical review of reporting output.- Operate and monitor key production related controls, handle issues and errors, and ensure operational documentation is maintained.- Support development of a robust control environment by aligning operating controls to EMEA Controller function standards, providing relevant control metrics, and participating in change management activities.- Support continuous improvement of processes utilized within regulatory reporting and collaborate with technology partners to support major change delivery.- Support development of junior staff, perform day-to-day operational oversight tasks, and prioritize work effectively.Qualifications Required:- Qualified CA/CFA/ICWA/MBA-Finance with 8 years of experience in Finance & Accounting.- Experience in Basel, RWA, Capital Adequacy is mandatory.- Experience preparing regulatory returns for a financial services organization, ideally encompassing both US and International output.- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently within a team structure.- Innovative mindset with a track record of process enhancement, understanding of change management discipline, and strong communication skills.- Strong academic background and a financial/accounting professional qualification.- Good time management, organizational skills, honesty, integrity, and intuitive problem-solving skills.In this role at Wells Fargo, you will be part of a diverse, inclusive, and customer-focused environment where strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture are critical.
