Senior Financial Accountant (Project Finance)

Job Description

As a Senior Financial Accountant (Project Finance) at ICON plc in Chennai, you will collaborate with the Finance group, clinical project managers, and other stakeholders to oversee budgets, monthly revenue recognition, and forecasting for each contract.**Key Responsibilities:**- Ensure projects remain within budget by monitoring their progress.- Monitor contracts for out-of-scope work and generate Change Orders as needed.- Meet with Project Managers to ensure correct use of revenue tracking files.- Analyze financial and operational metrics of studies to understand their health and viability.- Prepare and maintain monthly revenue financial forecasts and budget reconciliations.- Analyze business unit financial results and key performance indicators, providing insightful commentary.- Identify key revenue and margin drivers within the portfolio.- Build strong relationships with the Project Management group.- Support the preparation of ad-hoc management presentations.**Qualifications Required:**- 3 years of Post Qualification Corporate Experience.- Professional Accountancy Qualification (CPA/ CWA/CA/ CMA).- Experience in Financial Analysis and Planning preferred.- Ability to interpret data and convert between formats.- Numerate with financial understanding.- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office package, particularly Excel.- Prior experience in Oracle Financial systems, Hyperion, Alteryx, Power BI, etc. is an advantage.- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.ICON offers a competitive salary along with various benefits focused on well-being and work-life balance.
